Marcin Korolec

Director of the Institute of Green Economy, President of the Electric Vehicles Promotion Foundation. Member of Meva Energy Supervisory Boards (2020), InnoEnergy (2019), Transport&Environment (2019).

Lawyer, long-time government employee. From November 2013 to November 2015, he was
the Government Plenipotentiary for Climate Policy, in 2011 – 1013 he was the Minister of
Environment, and from 2005 to 2011 he was the Deputy Minister of Economy (in 2005 –
2015 he represented Poland at over 120 meetings of the Council of Ministers of the EU for
Climate, Environment, Trade, Competitiveness and Energy, in 2005 - 2011 he was the
coordinator of Polish cooperation with OECD).

He was President of the 19th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations
Framework Convention on Climate (COP19). During the Polish Presidency of the European
Union, together with Connie Hedegaard, Commissioner for Climate Affairs, he co-chaired the
European Union delegation at the Conference of the Climate Convention in Durban (COP17).
Marcin Korolec took part in the process of negotiations for Poland’s membership in the
European Union (1998 – 2004), as Assistant and Adviser to Minister Jan Kułakowski and
Minister Danuta Hubner.
Between 2010 and 2011, he was a member of the Supervisory Board of the National
Environmental Protection Fund. In 2011, he introduced Poland into the Administrative Board of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). He was the co-founder of the Green
Weimar Triangle – cooperation of the Environment Ministers of France, Germany and Poland
(2013), represented Poland in the Management Board of the Green Climate Fund 2013 - 2015.

Katarzyna Snyder

Expert on climate change and human rights, experienced in international negotiations and in
the circles of NGO think tanks. Graduate of the Institute for International Relations of the
University of Warsaw and the Central European University in the field of international law.
Adviser to the Special Envoy on Climate Change to the COP 14 of Janusz Reiter (2008).
Analyst at the Centre for International Relations (Warsaw, 2008-2009) and the International
Council for Human Rights Policy (Geneva, 2010).
Between 2012 and 2015, head of the Polish negotiating group at the United Nations
Framework Convention on Climate Change, UNFCCC and chairwoman of the Polish
delegation to the Council Working Group on International Environmental Aspects: Climate
Change Working Group (WPIEI:cc) in Brussels. Co-chairwoman of the European Union
Expert Group on International Financing of Climate Policy and Technology Transfer (2012-
2014).
She managed a group of experts supporting COP19 President Minister Marcin Korolec (2013-
2014) and COP24 President Minister Michał Kurtyka (2018-2019) in the UN Climate Change
process.
Lecturer in international climate policy and climate change at Carnegie Mellon University in
the United States of America from 2016 to 2019 (2016-2019).
Advisor on the accreditation process to the UN Green Climate Fund at the National
Environmental Protection Fund.


Mateusz Bednarkiewicz

Mateusz Bednarkiewicz

Vice President of the Management Board of the Institute of Green Economy Foundation,
President of the Parliamentary Education Foundation (since 2017). Expert on civil society
development and contemporary climate challenges as social and cultural issues.
Director, writer and philosopher involved with NGOs. Lecturer at the University of Warsaw
and Assistant Professor at the Theatre Academy in Warsaw
Co-founder of the conference on contemporary ecological challenges in philosophical
thought, social and political sciences and new theological currents “Creatio Contiunua” at
UPJPII University in Krakow.
Expert working in the field of contemporary environmental challenges with, among others,
the Jagiellonian Club, the Ministry of the Environment and Climate, the Dicastery for Integral
Human Development, Caritas, the Foundation for the Promotion of Electric Vehicles.
Author of publications in the field of contemporary philosophy.
Active theatrical and film director. Creator of plays based on Buchner, Chekhov, Conrad and
others. Cooperating, among others, with theatres: Studio Theatre in Warsaw, Polish Theatre in
Poznań, Dramatic Theatre in Warsaw, Fredro Theatre in Gniezno. Deputy Dean of the Faculty
of Directing AT. (2018-2019). Screenwriter and film director of, among others, “Warsaw”,
“Reisefiber”.
Winner of, among others, the Individual Screenplay Award at the Polish Film Festival in
Gdynia, nominated for the Polish Film Award Eagles. Winner of the directing award at the
2017 Teatroteka FEST Festival.
Graduate of Philosophy at the University of Warsaw and Directing at AT. Member of the
Polish and European Film Academy.


Anna Zielińska-Rakowicz

Anna Zielińska-Rakowicz

Managing Director at the Institute of Green Economy. From 2013 to 2017, she co-directed
and then headed the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM), where she was
responsible for the strategic development of the institute.
From 2017 to 2020, she co-founded, as Senior Advisor, the Public Affairs department at Hill
and Knowlton Strategies. From 2005 to 2013, lecturer and employee of the Department of
International Relations at Collegium Civitas. Graduate of international relations in Collegium
Civitas and postgraduate managerial studies at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH).


Jakub Anusik

Jakub Anusik

Economic policy analyst in the European Union.
He holds a PhD in economics. At the Institute of Economics, he focuses on, among other things, the challenges facing the EU budget. He also examines issues of deregulation and competitiveness in the context of EU industrial policy. He is also involved in projects supporting the implementation of agrophotovoltaics, digitalization, and other innovative technologies for decarbonizing the agricultural sector.
He studied at the University of Lodz, Paris Sorbonne IV, and the Warsaw School of Economics, where he also serves as a researcher and lecturer. His research focuses on comparative political economy in the context of European integration and EU sectoral policies.
